Today I am wearing a grey top and black skirt both from Zara, a cardigan with gold buttons and a gold chain belt both from Oxfam. The cape is from Zara, boots from Lime Soda. Second hand backpack and hood and an appropriately coloured Mulberry for London Fashion Week bag which is full of my school books.

I havn't written anything about the Proenza Schouler show yet because I have been thinking, since It was posted on style.com, of how to sum it up and I've finally managed to put my feelings into words:

OMGZZZZZZ!!!!!!!

It's so amazing! I would wear literally every look- excluding the last few dresses but they're excusable- I love the top-heavy styling and the colours, the dark green especially. I've expressed my liking of school uniforms and a lot of the outfits look as though they're uniform inspired. The straight center parted hair and dark lips are also super great. Yet another hit from Proenza Schouler!

I really really like Tommy Hillfiger this season. He seems to have reverted back to the beige and plaid and college style which old Hilfiger was renowned for. It's definitely a step forward from the gold and baby pink belt buckles of last season. I especially like the raglan sleeve coats and the brushed wool checks and I LOVE the bean boot heels, would never have expected that to work.

I don't really like proper backless clogs, even though they're number one trend of the moment, but i do like a lot of clog influenced shoes, particularly the way that studs are now moving away from the grungy, over adorned look towards a more nordic, functional look. I really like these John Rocha wedges with the huge platform soles.

I saw just saw these boots by Opening Ceremony and thought they were really nice, but then i realised i bought almost exactly the same pair for £5 a couple of months ago. The Opening Ceremony ones are nicer, but i'm not sure if they're worth the extra £400 pounds. I guess that just goes to show that you can find amazing stuff in the tackiest of shops!

Red and black has recently gone from my least favourite colour combinations to one of my favourites. I think the main problem with putting red and black together is that it can go horribly wrong and look really cheap for example:

These are my new zig zag festive nails

and this is how to do them....

You need three colours of nail varnish, masking tape and pinking sheers

Paint your nails a base colour

Then cut pieces of masking tape with the pinking sheers and mask over about a third of each nail, leaving quite a big tip, paint over the nail and masking tape using the second nail colour

So that big zig zag tips are left!

Then leave it as it is or do exactly the same thing with the masking tape a bit higher up on the nail and paint over it in the third colour

And then you have nails that look like Christmas crackers!
